The Search Seven Saloon Raises Over £10K for Charity!

On Thursday 2nd October 2026, The Search Seven Saloon swung open its doors for the first time.

Our team swapped laptops for cowboy boots and got to work hosting our latest charity event in support of our ongoing ‘Share 177K’ campaign.

This ambitious initiative aims to raise £177,000 for charity by the end of 2026 - our 15th birthday - and this year’s Western-themed evening marked another important milestone on that journey.

The atmosphere was electric from the very start, as our guests arrived dressed for the occasion and ready to make a difference.

Our hosts were Search Seven CEO Gav ‘The Gunslinger’ Willis and the brilliant Sam ‘The Hat Man’ Thomas, whose energy, enthusiasm, and hobbyhorse riding helped get the party started in style.

The evening was brimming with memorable moments that kept the good times rolling. We kicked things off with a hearty buffet fit for any cowboy campfire before going head-to-head in a spirited game of Hats n’ Spurs. From there, we galloped straight into a lively raffle and auction, with Sam taking the reins as auctioneer and helping us rustle up some vital funds for our charities.

The mechanical rodeo bull proved a popular challenge, offering plenty of laughs, while line dancing sessions led by Chloe and Kate brought everyone together on the dance floor. To top it all off, we were treated to a brilliant live performance from The Ill Billies, who gave a country twist to much-loved classics and kept the party atmosphere going well into the night.

No saloon is complete without a place to recharge, and ours came in the form of the ‘Wellness Wagon’, kindly hosted by Be Well, Live Well and Little Jasmine. Here, our cowboys and cowgirls could step away from the lively action inside, rest their legs, and enjoy a free relaxing massage before saddling up and heading back into the fray.

One of the things that makes our fundraising events so special is that each member of the team chooses a charity that means something to us individually, and the money we raise is shared across those valued causes. We were immensely proud to see so many supporters and peers from across the industry there to help raise awareness and funds alongside us - it’s this spirit of community that transforms these events into something truly impactful.

Alongside these wonderful supporters were representatives from some of our 2025 charity partners, including Donna Holland, CEO of Rockinghorse Children’s Charity, and Rachel Brett, CEO of The Sussex Beacon, who took to the stage to share moving stories about the lives they’ve touched and their plans for the future. Their words reminded us exactly why we come together each year: to stand behind these amazing charities and support the work they do in our communities every single day.

We’re proud to share that The Search Seven Saloon raised an incredible £10,000, a result that reflects the generosity and support of everyone who attended. This brings our total to £176,000 - just £1,000 shy of our £177K target! An amazing result a year ahead of our 2026 goal!
