Midas Waste

Jade has made the often-daunting task of web migration into an enjoyable experience. Her knowledge and expertise in managing these projects (and the client’s expectations) is faultless. I am already beyond happy with the results and look forward to working with the Search 7 team in developing our strategy further.

The Client

Midas Waste are an independently owned commercial waste management company operating in Kent. Their services span a wide range of industries and locations throughout the county.

Midas Waste were looking to increase their online visibility through both Paid Search (PPC) and Organic (SEO) channels.

Search Seven’s SEO team were asked to help Midas Waste identify and rank organically for relevant, traffic-driving keywords.

Initial research projects were undertaken to identify Midas’ organic competitors and the search behaviour of their customers, which led to the creation of their SEO Strategy. Search Seven began implementing this strategy across the website and initially saw performance begin to improve.

However, shortly into the new year there was noticeable volatility around Midas’ ranking keywords and organic traffic. After some investigation we learned that this was due to an unforeseen issue with the website where it was periodically unavailable to be found and/or indexed by search engines, presenting an additional challenge, and ultimately resulting in Midas Waste’s decision to migrate the website to a more reliable platform.

Midas Waste wanted to use this opportunity to ensure the new website was as efficient and appealing as possible, opting for a full redesign and restructure of the new website with Search Seven offering a supporting role in these activities.

Some of the work and supporting work that Search Seven provided during the migration project included:

• Keyword Research
• Content Research
• Competitor Research
• Content Writing & Content Optimisation
• Internal Linking Reviews
• Advice on Structural Changes
• Pre and Post Migration Support, Advice & Audits

The new Midas Waste website launched in late August. The new website quickly recovered the previously hit rankings whilst also gaining visibility in a large number of key, previously untapped areas.
