7% pledge
Charity sits at the heart of Search Seven. From day one, founder Gavin Willis pledged to donate up to 7% of the company’s annual profits to charities and local community projects, and it’s a fundraising initiative we are still running today. We support our staff every time they raise money for charity, supporting their fundraising efforts by donating up to £250 for their first event, and £150 for each event after that. Our CSR strategy has won us multiple awards, and it’s something we’re incredibly proud of.
In 2018 we set ourselves the target of raising £17,000 to celebrate our 7th anniversary in business – the #share7 campaign. By December we had raised a fantastic £20,000, shared across our seven chosen charities – including our flagship charity, Rockinghorse.
To mark our 10th anniversary in 2021, we’ve launched #share77k and set ourselves the ambitious target of raising £77,000, with £50,000 set aside for Rockinghorse. The Trevor Mann Baby Unit
The Trevor Mann Baby Unit – part of the Brighton based Rockinghorse Children’s Charity – is Search Seven’s flagship charity. They are a specialist NHS department for the care of premature and sick newborn babies, and rely on fundraising to be able to supply the items necessary for every child’s treatment, from life-saving equipment to toys.
Since Search Seven was founded in 2011, we have raised over £30,000 for Rockinghorse through gruelling marathons, abseils, quiz nights and golf days, as well as numerous other events across the city.
As part of our 2018 #share7 campaign we organised a fundraising football match at the AMEX stadium in Brighton, raising £8,500 for The Trevor Mann Baby Unit, as well as several other charities. Watch our video below for the match highlights.
